A Social Media Audit & Checklist for Each of Your Social PlatformsAre you getting it right on all of your social media channels?

Do you know what is working and what is failing? Is your bio correct? How about your avatar? Are you using the right type of posts for each platform? Are you getting engagement on your posts?

The only way to find out if you are getting it right is to audit each of your platforms. Make adjustments where needed and then start crushing your social!

Instagram

1. Is your avatar the same on Instagram as it is on all of your other social media platforms and does it follow your branding guidelines and make you instantly recognizable?

2. Have you created five to seven posting topics and are you rotating them in your feed to create a beautiful posting cadence?

3. Are you following the 80/20 Rule? Is 80% of your content providing value in the form of education or entertainment? The other 20% should be sales and promotions.

4. Have you created a list of relevant hashtags and are you using the relevant ones on each post?

5. Are you including your location in your post so you show up in searches in your area?

6. Are you creating interesting captions that draw your clients attention?

7. Are you asking questions to create engagement and using CTAs to get your customers to act?

1. Does your cover photo tell the story? When someone lands on your page, they should know without any effort.

2. Have you filled out all of the information in the About section? Including “Our Story” and a photo with your story? Does the link to your site work?

3. Are you posting at least 3-5 times per week?

4. Is your content creating conversation?

5. Are you asking questions?

6. Are you using CTAs?

7. Are you asking question and avoiding salesy posts?

8. Are you including shareable posts such as humor posts and inspiring quotes?

9. Are you responding to every comment?

10. Do all of your posts include photos?

Pinterest

1. Is your avatar the same on Instagram as it is on all of your other social media platforms and does it follow your branding guidelines and make you instantly recognizable?

2. Does your bio tell everyone exactly what you do and have a sprinkle of your personality?

3. Do you have a Business account with verified website?

4. Do you have at least 5 boards with 5 Pins?

5. Have you created brand boards in addition to other boards that your ideal customers would love to follow?

6. Are you using keywords in your board titles, captions and descriptions?

7. Are you pinning at least 3-5 pins per day?

8. Are you using hashtags?

9. Have I joined group boards and am I pinning to those group boards to gain exposure from other audiences?

Twitter

1. Does your bio tell everyone exactly what you do and have a sprinkle of your personality?

2. Is your website link in your profile?

3. Are they tweeting at least 2-3 times per day?

4. Are you tweeting helpful content like tips or advice? Are you tweeting retweetable content like inspirational quotes or humorous content?

5. Are you tweeting using daily Hashtags or trending hashtags?

6. Are you responding to tweets?

7. Are you retweeting others?

8. Are you interacting with tweets from others?

9. Have you created Twitter Lists?

10. These are great for segmenting your audience into different groups to check in with.
